EOS™ Enhanced O3 System
Breathe easy, reduce checmical sanitizer, & worrly less with EOS™
The EOS Enhanced O3™ System is a revolutionary water purification system that is up to twice as effective at oxidizing out impurities, without the negative effects of excess ozone gas.
Standard on M Series. Optional upgrade on A Series, STIL, & X Series
Generates up to 2x more ozone
This unique 3-part system generates as much as 2 times the amount of ozone as standard systems.*
*Compared to standard WellSpring™ High Output Ozone system.
Charges more effectively
The EOS Enhanced O3™ System charges spa water with free ozone more effectively, and sanitizes spa water better.
Validated to kill 99.9% of microorganisms
The EOS Enhanced O3™ System destructs nearly all of the residual O3 gas. EOS has been third-party validated to kill 99.9% of the microorganisms that could be found in spas.
How it works
The high-power O3 generator creates 2X more ozone than standard systems
Water and O3 are isolated and mixed vigorously for maximum sanitization
Over 99% of excess O3 gas is filtered and neutralized to eliminate potential spa damage
Designed to use less chemicals
Specs:
- Ozone Output: 100 mg/hr @880ppm (2.0cfh)
- Voltage: 120/240V, 50/60 Hz,
- Power Consumption: 12 Watts
- Contact Tank: EOS Mixing Vessel maximizes ozone contact and removes undissolved 03 gas.
- Destruct Unit: EOS 03 destruct unit uses the power of activated carbon to remove any excess 03 gas.
Frequently asked questions about EOS
Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive gas composed of three oxygen atoms. While it’s known for its role in the Earth’s atmosphere, protecting us from UV rays, it is also used in water sanitation. In hot tubs, ozone acts as a powerful cleaning agent that helps purify water by breaking down contaminants.
A hot tub ozonator, or ozone generator, is a device that injects ozone gas into the hot tub water. This process helps break down contaminants such as lotions, soaps, body oils, and saliva, enhancing water clarity and cleanliness while reducing the need for chemicals.
n ozonator generates ozone gas that reacts with the water in your hot tub. The ozone molecules split and attach to contaminants, breaking them down. This process enhances the effectiveness of sanitizing chemicals, allowing them to work more efficiently and last longer.
An ozonator is not strictly necessary for a hot tub to function, but it can be highly beneficial. It reduces the amount of chemicals needed, extends the life of those chemicals, and can prolong the time between water changes. This can result in significant cost savings and a more natural water treatment method.
Ozonators typically range in price from $200 to $1000, depending on the model and features. For example, the Bullfrog Spas EOS™ O3 Enhanced Ozone System is priced around $775-$800, while the Wellspring™ Ozone Purifier System costs between $300-$350.
Bullfrog Spas offers two ozone systems:
- EOS™ O3 Enhanced Ozone System: This system generates up to twice the amount of ozone as standard systems and effectively sanitizes water, killing 99.9% of microorganisms.
- WellSpring™ Ozone Purifier System: This system uses corona discharge technology to create ozone, increasing the purification potential of your spa’s water and reducing the need for sanitizing chemicals.
An ozonator generally lasts between three to five years. Some models may require cartridge replacements, which have varying lifespans. For example, the EOS™ O3 has replaceable cartridges that last about two years, contributing to the system’s overall longevity.
An ozonator helps keep your hot tub water clearer and cleaner with fewer chemicals. It extends the life of sanitizing chemicals and can reduce the frequency of water changes. Additionally, it provides a more natural and gentle way to maintain clean water, which is better for both your body and your hot tub equipment.
