1. Filtration
First, the Simplicity® Filtration System utilizes an ingenuously simple, low-cost, flat filter. This design catches more debris by spreading flow evenly across the filter membrane to maximize filter media effectiveness.
2. Sanitation
Next, your sanitizer treats water to safely and effectively eliminate organic contaminants like bacteria. FROG® @ease®* for Bullfrog Spas® is a low-touch cartridge-based sanitizing system that combines antimicrobial minerals with low, yet effective, quantities of SmartChlor® chlorine. Granular chlorine protocols may also be used where FROG @ease is not available.
3. Oxidation
Finally, your water is finished to sparkling clarity with one of our automatic oxidation systems: the industry-best Clear Comfort® Premium AOP System, EOS® Enhanced O3, or WellSpring® O3. These no-touch automatic systems clarify water by eliminating organic contaminants and other impurities through oxidation, supporting sanitizers and keeping water perfectly clean and clear.

The innovative Simplicity® Filtration System, utilized in the M Series, A Series, and Swim Series lines, simplifies your spa experience with its revolutionary flat filter design. Simplicity captures debris more efficiently than traditional filters by spreading flow evenly across its entire surface, resulting in amazing water-cleansing performance from a smaller filter area. In addition, Simplicity’s space-saving design creates room for extra seating and filters cost less than bulky traditional filters. Simplicity combines superior performance with practical design for a smarter spa filtration solution.
WellSpring® Filtration
The STIL® and X Series lines feature WellSpring filtration, a highly effective dual filter system with a cage-free filter design that helps you maintain clear water at all times, while using less plastic than other traditional cylinder filters. WellSpring filters are easy to access and simple to remove for periodic cleaning.
Wellspring™ Dedicated Filtration Pump
The dedicated Wellspring filtration pump is a quiet, vibration free, circulation pump that is more than eight times as effective at moving water through filters compared to other circulation pumps. Your spa will filter better, and quieter, while consuming up to 60% less operating energy, saving you money over time.

EOS™ O3
Enhanced Ozone System
EOS O3 is an advanced water purification system that eliminates impurities using the powerful oxidation properties of O3 gas. This unique three-part system generates up to three times more ozone than standard systems, combines O3 with spa water in a high-contact mixing chamber, and then filters out over 99% of excess ozone gas to prevent any negative effects. It operates automatically as your spa filters for hands-free water conditioning that supports your sanitizer in keeping water clean, clear, and safe.
WellSpring™ Ozone System
The WellSpring™ Ozone System creates ozone (O3) gas, which increases the purifying oxidation potential of your spa’s own water. Keep your spa clean and significantly reduce the amount of sanitizing chemicals needed.

The best hot tub water care system integrates three essential components: the filtration system, the primary sanitizing system, and the secondary oxidization system. Hot tub filtration systems remove debris, contaminants, and impurities from the water. Water circulates through filter cartridges that trap particles such as dirt and organic matter. This process is facilitated by a pump that ensures continuous water circulation, resulting in clear and safe water for users.
The Simplicity Filtration System is a user-friendly, efficient system designed by Bullfrog Spas®
It features a flat filter cartridge that is easy to remove and clean. This system also has a corrosion-resistant pump, ensuring consistent water flow and minimal maintenance.
Sanitizing systems kill bacteria and other pathogens in the water. The two most common sanitizers are chlorine and bromine. Chlorine is fast-acting, while bromine is more stable in high temperatures. Both ensure water safety by disinfecting the hot tub.
FROG @ease is a semi-automated system offered by Bullfrog Spas®
It uses a mineral cartridge to inhibit bacteria growth and a low-dose chlorine cartridge for additional sanitation. This system reduces chemical maintenance and keeps the water clean over an extended period.
While saltwater systems can generate chlorine for sanitization, they are not maintenance-free and require regular cartridge replacements. Saltwater can also cause hard water stains and damage hot tub components over time. Bullfrog Spas does not offer saltwater systems for these reasons.
Oxidation systems reduce organic contaminants and the need for harsh chemicals. These systems often complement sanitizers, providing a gentler and eco-friendlier approach to maintaining water clarity. Common oxidation methods include Ozone systems, UV systems, and AOP systems.
UV systems use UV-C lamps to emit rays that disrupt the DNA of microorganisms, rendering them harmless. This cutting-edge technology enhances water quality and safety without the need for additional chemicals.
Ozone systems use ozone gas to eliminate bacteria and contaminants without leaving chemical residue. Bullfrog Spas offers two ozone systems: the Wellspring Ozone System and the Enhanced Ozone System (EOS O3), both of which reduce chemical reliance and promote healthier water.
