Bullfrog International Donates Top Spa And Jetpaks™ To ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition FamilySalt Lake City – October 30, 2005
Bullfrog International, LC, a leading manufacturer of high-quality portable spas powered by JetPak™ technology, today announced that it recently donated its $12,000 552 model Bullfrog™ Spa to the Harrison family of Bountiful, Utah during their participation in ABC Television’s Emmy-winning Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show.

“We depend on donations from companies like Bullfrog who want to give the families we focus on a spectacular experience,” said Tom Forman, executive producer of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. “We work hard to help people like the Harrisons who have given their whole lives to their own and other causes and just need a little extra help.”

The Bullfrog Spa 552 model with five seats, five JetPak seatbacks and two pumps was specifically chosen to comfort and accommodate Gordon Harrison, his wife, Lisa and their three children, Chase, Ben, and Claire. Bullfrog also gave the Harrisons five additional JetPaks™ to share and interchange, which provides the family with the versatility to enjoy 10 of the 15 exclusive Bullfrog JetPaks.

“We are excited to help create a comfortable and beautiful setting for the Harrisons to relax and enjoy the new landscape and features of their new multi-tiered backyard,” said Aaron Glauser, Bullfrog International marketing director. “We wanted the parents to be very comfortable, so we selected the 552 model that features two loungers with Gordon and Lisa in mind. Knowing that the Harrison family has great relationships and are always sharing with their neighbors, we feel the spa will give them a special opportunity to build even more camaraderie in their neighborhood.”

The Harrison’s Bullfrog spa with a pearl-colored spa shell also features 11 foot and leg jets and the Spa&Yard™ stereo/CD system with flip-up Bose® speakers housed in Bullfrog’s new Beechwood EternaWood™ cabinet exterior. With its exclusive JetPak system, which holds up to 90-percent less plumbing than conventional spas, a Bullfrog spa produces an increased water flow, resulting in the ability to run more jets with increased power.

Over time, the Harrisons will save money through Bullfrogís efficient EnergySave™ technology process that heats the spa and recycles energy. Most of the plumbing is contained on the JetPak, submerged inside the spa, which transfers any escaping heat in the pipes back into the hot spa water and creates a virtually leak-proof spa with its exclusive LeakGuard™ design.

During the week-long construction project, the Bullfrog 552 Spa was installed in the Harrison’s backyard just as the brick patio where it sits was being finished. Harrison’s spa is situated a few steps away from one of the backdoors of the Harrisonís new $360,000 home. The spa is bordered on two sides by planter boxes and overlooks the entire Harrison backyard that was beautifully designed by Extreme Makeover expert and personality, Eduardo Xol.

Bullfrog International was invited to participate by the projectís main contractor, Okland Construction. John Evans, director of Okland Construction business development, said Bullfrog was hand selected for its “local company, very high-end product appeal.”

“Bullfrog International, like the other subcontractors that participated in this project, is especially service and community-oriented, and it was great to see their employeesí excitement as they joined hundreds of other volunteers who contributed to this great cause for the Harrisons,” Evans said. “We donít want our name to be associated with products that arenít the best for the Harrison family. We got the best from Bullfrog, and the spa was even customized to meet the Harrisonís wellness needs.”

The Harrison family was selected for the new home by the producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition after their neighbors nominated the Harrison’s for their neighborliness. Gordon Harrison, a carpenter by trade, who began a cabinet business, then a month later was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer has continually helped his neighbors, even organizing a neighbor’s surprise kitchen remodel project from his hospital bed.

The episode featuring host Ty Pennington showing the Harrison Family their new Bullfrog Spa was broadcast October 9.
