JetPak of the Month
The Oscillator
The Oscillator JetPak is one of our classics and has become a favorite for many hot tub owners. This JetPak features four exclusive Verta’ssage jets that oscillate in a figure eight pattern to create an experience that mimics the sensation of four hands delivering a deep-tissue massage to your back. This JetPak was designed to focus its therapy on both your lower back and lateral muscles while also touching on your spinal centerline. Spa owner Cyndi Blessing had this to say about her Oscillator JetPak, “It feels like you are getting a real massage. The kneading action really works on my sore back muscles”. Because this is the JetPak of the month, check out the coupon at the bottom of the page for 20% off at your local authorized Bullfrog Dealer.
Hot Tub Care
Venting your hot tub during the summer
Bullfrog Spas are built to be extremely energy efficient and to retain as much heat as possible so that only a minimal amount of energy is used to heat your spa. During the majority of the year, this is very beneficial to spa owners as it can save you money on your electric bill. Because our spas are designed to be so energy efficient, and depending on certain variables (i.e. location, heatwaves, climate), they may need a little help to vent excess heat during the peak temperatures of summer. We recommend the following steps to help your spa breath during the hot summer months:
Make sure your spa’s filter cycle is set to run in Economy Mode. This will help limit the amount of excess heat generated from the system running more than necessary.
Lower the filtration time to minimum setting. As said above, this will limit the amount of excess heat that is produced. Because people typically use their spas less during the hot summer months, maximum filtration cycles are not typically needed.
Open the cover every few days and allow some of the trapped heat to escape from the waters surface. Just make sure to keep an eye on your spa with the cover off, especially if there are children around.
During the summer months spa water temperatures can exceed the normal range because of the following factors:
Spas are designed to maximize insulation properties during the cooler seasons of the year. As summertime temperatures climb, the warmer outside air increases the insulation properties of the spa beyond what is needed.
Even when the spa is not being used, the filter cycles still produce heat. This excess heat is not vented as efficiently when temperatures soar.
Spa owners are less inclined to use their spas when the mercury rises. As a result, the cover stays on top of the unused spa for long periods of time. This means that the spa doesn’t have a chance to release some of the excess heat from the waters surface like it does when it is in use.
