Give thanks.


This simple act of humanity seems to be something of a lost art these days. The thing is, when you say “thank you” for something or show appreciation with a smile and nod, it is a mutually beneficial act. The person thanked benefits and you also reap the rewards of gratitude.


Gratitude, like good hygiene, is one of those human virtues that is always appreciated. Who doesn’t want to be acknowledged, remembered, seen and made to feel appreciated?


When you are gracious and appreciative you’ll develop a deeper connection with others around you. You will also see this positive energy all come back to you. Perhaps it’s karma or just the confidence and happiness you gain from participating well in society, but, when you are truly appreciative you will notice good things start to happen around you.


Just try it. Give thanks. Say it an extra 10 times today. The moments are there if you look. You’ll be glad you did.
