Portable Spa Manufacturer Found in Compliance of Energy Efficiency Regulations

Salt Lake City – August 8, 2006 - Bullfrog International was recently recognized to be in compliance with the applicable provisions in the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) appliance efficiency regulations. All eight Bullfrog spa models were tested according to the CEC’s complex energy formula. The eight models are now included in the CEC database and appear in the CEC online database listing. The spas tested incorporate all available options including the most robust pump configurations as well as models equipped with Bullfrog’s new WellSpring™ circulation pump.

“To be recognized by the CEC as being compliant with the regulations that have been set really points to our commitment in the efficient uses of energy,” said Aaron Glauser, Marketing Director, Bullfrog Spas. “This message of energy efficient spas continues to be one of the most important points of the Bullfrog brand.”

Energy efficiency is something we don’t take lightly,” stated Alex Eddington, Compliance Officer, Bullfrog Spas. “We utilized the CEC-adopted test procedures to evaluate our entire product line and we have met and are in full compliance with those standards.”

The test procedures primarily establish threshold standby power consumption. The energy formula testing parameters include voltage, water volume, occupant capacity, spa insulation, R-value of spa insulation, R-value of spa cover, standby power, and federal regulatory status.
